@WhatThe , they didnt think the heart issue was that important

They said so in the letter they sent .

Just being stubborn as per .

    I dunno @WhatThe , its a total nightmare

When i was on the Neurodivengence course one member on there said they had to have a full meltdown for them to issue it .

    A bloody disgrace

Sadly i agree. The shamless chancers will usually be fine, but honest people who give honest answers can fall through the cracks. All i ever hear is enhanced this, enhanced that. I got my 10 year award maybe 8 or 9 years ago, and i just accepted whatever i waa awarded.

Glad you got your award @Chris75_ .

Its good that you got it .

Last time i applied i was adimant i would fight it all the way .

This time i dont feel as confident .

I know the government want a crack down but i think they are cracking down on the wrong people .

Whoever is in power wont ever get it right

Like you said in an earlier post someone will claim for a bad back knowing full well they are scamming the system .

Its just one big mess .

If only there was someone who could get it right for once .

Unfortunately we dont live in an ideal world .

Same as those police who will never be punished for Hillsborough .

Theres always gonna be people who get away with things

    It makes me puke

My daughter read the letter they sent back to me and shes very intelligent @Chris75_ and she said there answers did not make any sense .

I aint clever enough to figure it all out .

I know there are places to contact to get help etc but as i say i was adament last time to persue it .

But this time feels different so i just dunno .

I will wait until Ive had my autism assessment and then see.

Also it depends on my mental health too .

It's easy for me to say fight on, but i am and look physically disabled, so it is right there for all to see. I never had to make any appeals, i just got awarded enhanced Mobility, and whatever the basic care is called.

I think at the end of the day they want more evidence

Last time i ask the doctors surgery for my notes the ammount of paper they used to photocopy my medical notes must have taken ages .

I dont think i am allowed to ask a second time .

I know we can check them out ourselves but there is some stuff on my medical records that is very very sensitive and i dont want the Dwp to know about that issue .

I feel like im wading through mud @Chris75_ .

Its probably not worth it .

You yourself are one of the genuine ones where it can be seen which is good in a respect for you @Chris75_ but living with any disability is difficult to live with .

Its the people who say they have bad backs when they dont

    Thats what is irritating

People with mental health can mask

    I know i do

So they dont see us at our worst .

We never know whats around the corner

So maybe keep my chin up .

I might just wait and see what happens with the Autism assessment @Chris75_ then decide

    That happens In Jan 2026

One big wish for me in the future @Chris75_ is to have a German Shephard

It would be a help for getting me back out walking again and i would feel protected and safe while walking a dog like that .

Fingers crossed i could have my wish

@Strawberry1 But can you not ask someone to help you explain how your heart condition impacts on your daily life? We all kmow that simply having a diagnosis isn't evidence to the DWP.

Way back in 2007 when i was still working away, i waa horrified when my then wife asked me to claim DLA as it was then.

I applied alone, and failed to get any points. I re-applied ( i had to be nagged into doing so) with the help of a CAB benefits specialist, and after that and a physical examination in my home, i was awarded higher rate mobility, and lower rate care. The award was indefinite.

I have had another 2 face ro face assessments since then, and both times got PIP, enhanced mobility and the standard rate of care. I must be due a re-assessment in the near future, i can't remember when that last assessment was, maybe 2017.

My condition now has me using a powerchair and scooter, so i might be lucky and get enhanced care this time too. I won't lie or exaggerate for extra money, and i will just take what they award me, no appealing.

But ive had a pacemaker so im not sure if its really classed as vunerable now .

I could still have a heart attack yes but with the pacemaker its probably gonna be a no lol

Ah @Strawberry1, i see what you are saying about a pacemaker? They are saying you are 'cured '?

I know nothing about pacemakers, but i imagine you have to be careful not to overdo things? Cleaning, getting in shopping? All points you might argue the extra money might help with. It's a lottery it sure is!
