Happy New Year Strawberry (we have to hope)
You are certainly not. The forum doesn't feel like it used to, that's all. Mods and members have gone. But we're here aren't we? 😉

Thank you Strawberry. I have mostly found kindness on this forum.
This is my third January on the forum and I can say that my MH has improved significantly since I joined. Learning to understand why other people think and behave the way they do has been valuable to me as an autistic person.
How long have you been a member and was last year the only time you've taken a long holiday from us?

Your welcome @WhatThe , yes i too have found kindness here too
I cant remember when i first joined and yes last year i did have time away from here.
Im glad u find it useful and it is in many ways.
Im writing this too you and filling up as I dont always think I deserve the kindness given too me here but i will accept it and I am grateful
At the moment my head feels rather messy lots and lots of things still worry me and Im still feeling upset about some things .
Im still awaiting my autism test and still waiting on meds etc for my adhd .
Anyway i wont ramble on any further
This is my problem cant seem to find common ground within myself .

I am sorry for my bit of a negative rant but sometimes this is the only place I feel i can say out loud what i want to say

Sorry you're feeling like this @Strawberry1. Is there anything you can do that would make you feel a bit better or distract your mind? I always find watching a quiz show works.

It's always lovely to talk with you, Strawberry. I don't have many friends IRL so this forum is very important to me. I just can't come on every day because it takes so much concentration and I don't like sitting still for long as I get stuck and neglect other stuff.
You get back what you give so of course you deserve kindness! Tons of it 😍
No ADHD meds since last February? Is that because of your heart conditions and treatment last year? Those meds are the only reason I'm waiting for my assessment! I actually got cold feet and took myself off the waiting list but changed my mind again.
Autism is full of conflict. That's why it's so hard to manage in a neuro-typical world but with increased understanding of why you are the way you are - that you're not faulty but different - you will find your confidence again. It won't happen overnight and it's not an easy experience.
Do you have someone to go with you to the autism assessment? I would recommend this if possible.

I used to sleep when depressed and unable to function like I wanted. Listen to your body and don't feel guilty - your brain needs the most rest. Many mammals hibernate in winter and we also slow down.

Good luck with everything @WhatThe .
Ive no idea if its Autism or something else thats causing the lack of confidence
Im having my assessment over the internet
I may prefer to do the assessment on my own
Thanks for thinking of me

Ok, mine was in person.

I agree with @WhatThe @Strawberry1. Listen to your body and sleep if you need to, there's nothing to feel guilty about.
