I appreciate your support @Biblioklept thank you 😊 . It's something to do with a phone call that's all and someone not being available just gets me grumpy that's all . Thank you so much 💓

Seconding that you're not a burden @Strawberry1 and you're not in the way either! Everyone deserves a bit of support and someone to listen when they're dealing with some difficult things 😊

Sorry the phone call made you feel grumpy, hope you're feeling more like yourself soon. ❤️

I would be uplifted to hear if anyone has a good experience with mental health services. After 42 years on and off, continuously for the past 16, I find it a nightmare. In the past 7 months with a new service, having bipolar and complex ptsd I have been refused from psychiatrist CPN, support worker and psychology.instead try this med try that med like a lab rat. 3 weeks after a mutual decision to stop lithium after 15 years, no support, no monitoring nothing. I have no family and no support. I honestly believe they just don't care and its a completecwaste of time complaining.

@BM65 , I'm so sorry to here what you have experienced. It seems to be a common trait within the Mental health service that being said I know that doesn't make it right . I apologise as this may not be correct response to your post . You was asking if anyone has had a good experience with Mental health services my sincere apologies. I just wanted to say how terribly sorry I am to hear how the support wasn't how it should be for you .

Your very welcome @BM65 , I can believe that . Apparently they say it's Funding. I don't know it probably is Funding but I think it's other things too . I sometimes think medics attitudes have changed over the years not for the better though. Sometimes we have to keep bothering them I'm not saying it's the best way but what else can we do. Fingers crossed a light at the end of the tunnel comes your way quickly.

Can anyone suggest anything that can calm racing thoughts whizzing around our head so as to settle down a bit please?

Hi Strawberry1 have you tried some deep breathing excercises. One thing i do when my thoughts are racing is go round my house and just look at stuff, anything and say waht it is out loud but one straight after another for eample if in living room i look at tv and say television then chairs and say chairs, light and say light. Not too fast but its a type of grounding and stops your mind thinking lots of stuff. Hope you manage to settle not easy but you will get there
