Pip refused after renewal

The CAB lady will be able to help with everything tho won’t she ? if my husband explains how his day to day life is affected and what happens when he last tried to do X Y & Z etc etc obviously there’s more but you know what I mean, apparently this CAB lady is good with pip appeals so hopefully it’s all going to be ok.0

Sorry me again.I’ve just gone through all the activities and written how each one affects my husbands ability to carry out each one reliably etc and what happened the last time he tried to do any of them safely & reliably etc so he can take that with him to the CAB appointment.0

I can't say i've ever found Citizens Advice to be particularly helpful in the past.

Hopefully our CAB lady is more helpful. It’s just a lot to deal with, especially with how our personal home life is.0

Apart from someone struggling to do the appeal themselves, or someone in circumstances like we are which I know you’re not aware of so can’t really comment , who else would be recommended to help ? Thank you.0

Welfare Rights or a law centre will be the best. You can check this link to see what advice agency is local to you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits

If there's nothing showing in the link i posted above then it's unlikely you'll have anything like this in your area.

No nothing :-( I typed in post code & CAB, carers centre & age concern came up in a list0

Unfortunately, Welfare Rights and law centres aren't available in all areas. Some areas don't have access to anything at all. It's doable to do this by yourself, you have the support of the forum. There's many members that go through this process without any support at all. If it does get to Tribunal stage (very likely) then you should make sure you either attend in person or have a telephone/video hearing because this will give you the best chance of a decision in your favour, as it's about a 70% success rate for either of those.1

I will come back when I have more news, if that’s ok.I appreciate every kind & supportive message.0

Of course you can come back anytime you want. There's always someone here that can give you some advice, if you need it.

Sometimes I just need reassurance or kind words0

I totally get that and sometimes that's all it takes.

Hi
sorry here sooner than I thought I’d be.Quick question as my husbands carer (unpaid) would me writing a letter/statement about how I help him with things he can’t do reliably etc etc or would that be a waste of time? Thank you I appreciate your kind words & help.0 -
Yes, you can do that. Don't forget about those real world examples that were advised earlier in the thread.

Yes we will include it all. Thank you Poppy.0
