So what was the “change” between now and 2018? - (presuming it was something stupid like you were on 8 pts and dropped to 7……..I can’t get my head around losing a ton of pts even if you didn’t add any else to ‘no change’)

8 points for Daily living & 10 points for Mobility back in 2016 & 2018 to 0 on both in 2023. It’s frustrating but we will continue to fight on.
Appreciate all kind comments & help.

That is madness - I’d love to know what one of the mods think of that because logically that can’t be possible

I’m going to send you a private message if possible if that’s okay

It does seem mad but I’ve read it happens quite a lot.

    Hello dannistar
If you have had you award reduced or removed completely after a  review then the descision maker should have given a clear and detailed reason how your condition has changed since your last award to warrant a reduction or removal of that award. If nothing has changed then you have the right to appeal first with a Mandatory Reconsideration letter and then go to Tribunal. I wrote a reply about this today on another post and included case law that you could include in your mandatory reconsideration letter if you think it would help your case. It would also be useful if you go to tribunal. Here is the link to my reply https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/comment/696285#Comment_696285
I hope you find the above of some use. Do not give up.
    Good Luck

Yes I read your post on that, which I’ve looked at , thank you. They didn’t give a reason just said they believe he can do everything fine. We did MR with no change to decision so we going to appeal.
    Thank you.

I'm not a mod but yes, it's possible and it does happen a lot. There's never any guarantee of an award at review stage, which is why i always advise treating reviews as a new claim.

    Hi,

    1. do we have to have medical evidence? or are real life examples evidence enough?

    2. how do we get medical evidence if we’ve never had any since first successful claim, we’ve never sent any evidence to pip. Hubby hasn’t seen a doc for his medical probs in years as there’s nothing more that can be done other than strongest pain relief he’s allowed to take.

Thank you in advance for your kind & helpful replies.

I’m starting to lose the plot a bit trying to cope with this , my head is going to explode soon but I’m stronger than this and will push forward but it’s ok to have a wobble right?

Medical evidence isn't needed for a successful PIP award. Real world examples are always very good evidence. You can also send a supporting letter from yourself or any family members that know your partner well.

It's perfectly fine to have wobbles, we all have them but you can do this. If you need a break, take one and put everything away for another day.

I'm so sorry you have a lot going on @dannistar

Is there anything you think we could help with to support you?

    Hi @dannistar

How are you feeling today? Do you feel like you are coping and have you got enough support?

Just to let you know, I've split off and created a new thread for others comments around the PIP review process to make it easier for you to keep track of your own situation. I hope that helps.

Please let us know if we can do anything to make this time easier for you.

Thank you @Hannah_Scope & @Cher_Scope your comments are appreciated.

I find this place a good place to ask things or just hear a kind comment to be honest.

I feel ok today. The lady from CAB rang yesterday and spent 2 hours on phone helping us do the appeal online.

It’s not just my husband I care for at home so it’s a busy household.

I appreciate all the kind words & support.
