I'm a soon to be 44 year old Welshman, born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. I enjoy many things, listening to podcasts, video games, reading, watching movies/series, puzzles and watching pretty much any sport; but mainly football, cricket, professional wrestling and a little bit of american football.
Just looking for somewhere pleasant to hang out online (which is becoming more and more difficult).

Hi @Cyhyraeth! Lots of chats to choose from, and you can always start your own discussion:-)What podcasts are you listening to? I have never listened to any, so I am just curious:-)I like reading, and watching football definitely!I am almost lost when there is no football on tv!:-)1

Hi Betty, I've a rolling list of about 30 different ones, I often spend most of my day listening to them non stop. They range from comedy, history, video games, wrestling and everything in between; just depends what mood i'm in.
If you want to start listening to a few I can point you in the right direction, just let me know. It's like listening to talk radio but having it aimed at your interests. There will be a podcast for anything you're interested in.Superbetty said:Hi @Cyhyraeth! Hi @Beaver79 @Superbetty
I replied but it seemed to disappear on me
I'm subscribed to about 30 podcasts, I often spend aI ll day listening to them. Topics range from comedy, crime, history, wrestling, investigations and anything in between. Just depends on the mood i'm in really.
If you want to get started listening to podcasts I can point you in the right direction, any subject you're interested in there will be a podcast for it. It's like talk radio but having it purely for your interests.1 -

It sounds really interesting, I think it is good alternative for example for people who have problems with reading, so instead of reading, they can listen, and find out new things. I like to read, and now when I am stuck at home, I have lots of time to read, so this is good for me:-) Do you have any plans for today? Nice and sunny here, I just had my coffee:-)0

Raining here @Superbetty, not that I ever go out anyway. Man City & Liverpool are both playing this afternoon, so i'll watch those games. Maybe catch up on some shows and/or read before then. You?0

Hi there and welcome @Cyhyraeth and thanks for introducing yourself, what a great range of interests I hope you'll enjoy spending time on the forum and getting to know everyone. The best place to start for that is the coffee lounge.
As a fellow gamer myself I have to ask, what games do you enjoy?0 -
What sort of shows and books do you enjoy @Cyhyraet?0

@Alex_Scope I've a habit of starting games and rarely - if ever finishing them. I will try almost everything, i've moved from PC gaming to Xbox over the past few years, so have a soft spot for indie games. I was very happy to see Loop Hero come to Xbox in the last few months, and a few weeks later Inscryption, which I love.
@L_Volunteer I recently really enjoyed watching The Watcher, after listening to a podcast about what happened. I'm a geek at heart, and I am enjoying Castlevania that I've recently started watching. Apart from that I am enjoying working through It's always sunny in Philadelphia, which I've never watched and was surprised to find really funny - so I have 15 seasons to go through. .
As for books I enjoy fiction and sometimes a little non fiction; I haven't long finished reading 'The Places In Between' an account by a British Writer written as he walked across Afghanistan in the early 2000's. I've been a Stephen King fan for most of my life. More recently I've started reading Cormac McCarthy; I'm currently reading Blood Meridian after seeing a favourite YouTuber talk about it.0 -
I'm with you there @Cyhyraeth, I have so many 'abandoned' games, maybe I'll complete them one day...
I play mainly on PS but I have heard of Inscryption, glad you enjoy it! I see Loop Hero is jointly produced by Devolver Digital, they've made some great games0 -
