Good morning!
Today is the Coronation of King Charles III and I've created this thread for everyone who is watching to comment along. If you are not a huge fan of the event, I have another thread called; Not watching the Coronation? What are your plans?
Please remember the house rules today, be civil, safe and supportive. We all have our different opinions which is why I created both threads.
If you are following this thread today, you can watch the Coronation on BBC iPlayer or ITV X.

-
@Sandy_123 I was talking with a friend, and we commented on how far technology has come, for so many to now be able to see this.0
-
I did think how lucky we are to be able to watch it.
I too couldn't camp out on the mall or stand in the crowds1 -
Oh the little choir boy My heart!0
-
Doesn't george look so grown up0
-
Yes, they all do, can't get over how tall Louis is!0
-
Its a beautiful church I've been in there, the architecture, most of the old Kings and Queens tombs are there too, that you can walk around. Light candles for loved ones.1
-
I'd love to visit, putting it on the list The choir are amazing!0
-
I recommend it there is wheelchair access too.1
-
We now have a (crowned) King and Queen! There are little things that I've noticed, like when they drank from the chalice, they wiped the edge. Makes you think if that would have happened pre-covid.0
-
I would of hoped so for hygiene reasons. They did well with all the eyes on them, I would personally hate that attention, I would end up falling over my dress or something silly1
-
When I saw so many of them and guests wearing white and cream, with the weather the way it is, would be a recipe for disaster for me!
[Gif above is of a woman in white falling into a muddy puddle]0 -
Weather is awful, but expected.0
-
Well, the services marching, seeing all the flags, banners, uniforms... it was such an amazing thing to see0
