in Start here and say hello!
Hi everyone, am looking to connect; 60 yrs old, single, living alone with no f&f nearby, mostly housebound. Am retired on ill health on contracting ME/CFS 12 yrs ago. Am a total nerd, into anything aesthetics, saving the planet and all its people from conflict and hunger. Looking forward to meeting people.

    Hi @Sabine welcome, that's not being nerdy, that's caring. What have you done so far to save the planet. Alot of us now are more aware of things we can do to save the environment

    Thank you, tbh, i really struggle with the navigation of this online platform, its v clunky, takes ages to load and very complicated interface🤔

    Hi there @Sabine and welcome, sorry to hear you're struggling to navigate the forum, are you using a laptop/PC or mobile phone/tablet? 

    Is there anything we can do to help at the moment, or any questions you'd like to ask?

    • The categories page shows all the different topics for discussion
    • The virtual coffee lounge is a place to chat, get to know other members, and play games too

    Hi Alex, thanks, i use a smartphone.
    In the homepage is no login option and the community drop down menus are not in the main menu top right. So, i cant get into the recent discussions or coffeelounge. I dont need to get points or levels and an email everytime i post either. I am 60, am not doing this for a reward or recognition, just hoping for mature, techfree, easy access to proper conversations. I will keep trying. Thanks

    Hi Sandy, cheers, still trying to learn to respond to comments, hope this works? Other than that, i ll get back to you on my very small personal save our planet efforts.

    The online platform, is not 'user friendly', frustrating, really needs a upgrade.

    Hi @ Purrrrrrr, hope you get this, posted a reply to you before, who knows where it is gone? 

     one cant reply to individual comments in a thread or ask a follow up q of any person. This ridiculous and not fit for purpose. It could actually do harm. Like you day, time lag, not loading, disappearing stuff. How rude.

    As others have mentioned, it might be a little easier to navigate on PC, but I appreciate the portability of a phone is more appealing!
