Welcome to the forum. Don’t worry you’ve done fine posting it. I’m sorry to hear about your own back problems leaving you housebound. You must be so worried about your son. That’s good that your daughter is corresponding with the hospital. Have you got any news about the severity of the stroke and what they think his recovery will be like?

Hello there @BooHoo and a warm welcome to the Scope online community. You've done a great job posting in the Start Here and Say Hello section.

If you'd like to have a look around the rest of the forum please do feel free, here's a few of the best places to get started:

    • Recent discussions is where you'll find all the latest conversations our members are having
    • The categories page shows all the different topics for discussion
    • The virtual coffee lounge is a place to chat, get to know other members, and play games too

Is your son getting ongoing support following his stroke? It must have been very upsetting indeed. It sounds like you've rallied together as a family and are helping each other out :)

I'm sorry to hear about your acute back problems, have you asked your GP about a referral for a needs assessment, if you'd like more support day to day?

Let us know if we can help with anything else in the meantime, don't hesitate to ask!
