Hello @Alex_Scope not a problem. Conductive Education is a comprehensive method of learning by which the individuals with neurological and mobility impairments can by learn to consciously and specifically perform actions that children and adults without any difficulties learn through typical life experiences.
The idea is that we see the individual as a whole and support them to improve their current skills and learn new skills within a group session environment.
As an individual with CP I have noticed an improvement in my own abilities as I am practicing what I teach but I do encourage people to observe and join in a CE session as they are amazing0 -
That's great @David_MBH thank you for taking the time to explain
What are some of your favourite things to do in sessions, or the best thing you've improved?0 -
There are so many things to choose from when thinking about my favourite things to do in sessions with the children and the adults as I tend to adapt to what is interesting them. I do like to play games in my groups so that the participants can practice the skills that they have learnt and apply them to the real world.
I love to be in the individuals corner encouraging them on their journey towards independence and giving them opportunities to find their own personality.
Over the years I have undergone many operations and procedures to do with my CP and I have learnt to accept that I am who I am and I have what I have but I will not let that stop me from joining in with what I enjoy. This is something that I like to instill in everyone that I teach0 -
That not only sounds like so much fun, but so rewarding too! It was so lovely to read what you do in Conductive Education Sessions. I hope you are keeping well after your operations?0
