Hi Richard thanks for reaching out.
Coping mechanisms are different for everyone, I would say that the best way I cope is to find something I enjoy doing, to try and have that escape and that time where I'm not thinking about the struggles that I might be facing, or the pain which I'm in.
I don't want to pry, but I hope that you have a good support network? - this forum is a fantastic place to help with that and surround yourself with like minded individuals who share common interests and are able to support one another.
