Lcwra renewals/reassessment

I have no idea sorry. I do know that there were also some people that were contacted last year that hadn't had a review for several years or more.

Thank you. So, the fact that it's been 10 years does not necessarily, mean I'm more likely to get a review than the someone else? I take it that's really hard to know. So, I appreciate, if can't say one way or the other.

@poppy123456 Sorry, your comment about the person being called and being 'overdue' got me worried. You don't think that i'm due to have a reassessment soon based on that, do you? Just guesswork?

That's not something I could possibly answer, sorry. I'm just the same as you and claim benefits myself.

Hello
Is there any update on lcwra reviews? Have they restarted fully? I read something that has petrified me.
The reform will apply to new claimants or those undergoing a reassessment of their health, and so the number of people affected will rise steadily: the DWP expects that it will affect around 450,000 claimants in 2028-29. The vast majority (93 per cent) are set to no longer be allocated to the LCWRA group, and will therefore see their awards drop by £416 per
What does that mean can anyone please explain? The way I'm reading is 93 percent of those currently on lcwra will loose it if the changes come into play.

That guidance was published in April 2024, under the previous Conservative Government.
The new Labour Government are making their own plans, it'll be the spring before we get any indication of what those are.
Re assessments are still suspended for the majority, I've seen a few happening here and there but not many.
Recruitment is happening for assessors, and assessment providers have been changed to a regional division.
When reviews will resume at scale is anyone's guess.
