UC compliance interview.

I have had MH issues for over 30 years and receive pip for that! She’s well aware of how mentally unwell I am but that “is of no importance “ to her.
i now try to make sure I have someone else listening in on any calls but if she thinks someone else is there or they intervene on my behalf she ends the call and the next call is horrendous.
i wanted to go away for 6 weeks to see my family on e I’m well enough to leave the ward (and I would inform UC of this as it would affect my entitlement) but she just keeps saying
”so you want to run off out of the country but you’ve done nothing wrong?” Then laughs.0 -
I’ve only been on UC for 2 years. Pip/DLA a lot longer maybe about 12 years.
she tells me she has access to my health records anyway so I’d assume she could see all this if she wanted to0 -
I got the ineritance paid into a LISA by my mum after I claimed UC which May be where the issue is although I have always kept them updated and sent them statemtns etc.
she is saying she can ask for bank statements of family
mwmwbers? Surely I can’t force them to do that, me I understand but people not claiming anything?0 -

Only if it's a partner that you're claiming UC with. Other members of the family such as parents, siblings then no because their circumstances are nothing to do with your UC.

No it’s just my claim I have no one else on it.She is a compliance officer I checked because as she was talking about powers of arrest and stopping me leaving the country I thought maybe she was a fraud investigator but she’s not.
i thank everyone for listening to my insane ranting, I just seem to be ruminating and going over every little thing she says reading hidden messages into it.I’m terrified she’s watching me, not because I have done anything but because it’s one of the issues I have with my MH I can be quite paranoid.
i suppose all I can do is supply what she wants and hope she eventually ends her issue with me.0 -
My doctors have suggested perhaps by Christmas I may be able to go and spend time with my mum and step dad out of the country (he’s a doctor so that always reassures them somewhat)
my main worry is as soon as I leave hospital she’s going to be 1000 times worse, what will happen if I can’t comply with her? If I’m not in the country it won’t be easy to speak or get documents etc.
my mum says if she closes my claim when I’m gone so be it, my health is more important but I’m worried she’ll have me arrested or I’ll make things worse for myself0 -
They cannot send yo to prison over this from what I've read. Again, I am asking you to put in an official complaint against her, as others have suggested. I know you're worried she'll come after you harder, but if a complaint is in place, it's more than likely they'll give you a new point of contact. Hopefully someone a bit more compassionate!1

You won't be arrested for leaving the country. One thing you do need to be aware of though is that for UC you're only allowed to be out of the country for up to 1 month, any longer than this and you're entitlement to UC will end.For PIP isn't 13 weeks, unless it's for medical treatment then it can be up to 26 weeks.

Thanks, yes I did speak with someone from the job centre who said if it’s longer than a month your entitlement ends.It wouldn’t be for longer than 13 weeks unless I really wasn’t coping and decided to stay longer with my parents.
i must sound crazy (more than I am at present 😉) but if I don’t comply with her I worry myself sick about what she can do0
