No, your assessment periods starts the day you get paid each month and is for the previous month

So your 1st assessment period starts on11th september-10th October, but that is your payment for August 11th-september 10th

You Fit note was handed in on 30th August- so only covers 9 days of that assessment period, (september 1st-10th) so it doesn't count as it is not three fullnassessment periods

So your first full assessment periods is The following one which means

    1st AP- October 11th to november 10th

    2nd AP november 11th-december 10th

    3rd AP

    December 11th-10th january

They are you 3 full assessment periods-(which i mentioned earlier the relevant period is actually 14 weeks)

You are correct in that you are entitled to payment from Januart, but you are paid in arrears so your payment for January 11th to February 10th on February 11th

Hope that explain it better x

Yet again, your advice is incorrect. Please have a read through the thread and find the correct information that has already been given.

Let me explain again.. Their first fit note was provided on 30th August… Their assessment periods are 11th to 10th of the month. This means their waiting period is as follows…

11th Aug to 10th Sept… first fit note provided on 30th August.. this month doesn't count because fit note was provided in the middle of the assessment period.

    11th Sept to 10th Oct.. 1 month

    11th Oct to 10th Nov … 2 months.

    11th Nov to 10th Dec.. 3 months..

LCWRA starts from assessment period 11th Dec to 10th January and first payment will be 17th January.

Please be careful of the information you're giving because you've been advised a few times that it's incorrect and you're still coming back with incorrect information.

I hope this helps explain it in more detail.

I am not incorrect. If there is one thing i understand it is this.

The waiting period CANNOT start on 11th August if the fit note wasnt handed in until the 30th. It doesn't start until AFTER the fit note was handed in, and it has to be a FULL assessment period which is why the august september period does not count.

No...its 14 weeks. It's commonly stated as 3 assessment periods for ease, but it is in fact 14 weeks

    This is fact

My assessment is from 11th to 10th. You were wrong again.

I didn't advise that the waiting period started on 11th August. I said it starts from 11th September. Sorry but you clearly don't understand this because your advice is not correct.

They charge £20/year to access their forum and I don't need to pay anyone anything when I already know the information.

Try doing your waiting period calculation again because you've started it from 11th Oct to 10th November, which isn't correct.

Fit note was provided on 30th August.. therefore the waiting period starts from 11th Sept to 10th Oct and NOT 11th Oct to 10th November. In your calculation you've missed a month's AP.

I won with DWP! And they backpaid me until June 2024, that's when I got approved for UC.

That's great news! Although I'm very surprised they paid you from June 2024 because you said your first fit note wasn't provided until 30th August 2024.

I have no idea. Maybe because I was persistant and had a lot of arguments. If you give me your email I can send you letters and screenshots of what I wrote to them. Or you can email me and I'll email you back. Anyway. GIGANTIC thanks to you and Holly for your knowledge and help.

Please don't worry about sending me those letters, that wasn't what I was asking of you. I'm very happy that they changed the decision and you got there in the end!

I'm very happy I was able to help, I'm a very persistent person, when I know I'm right. I hope that you'll now be able to relax a little. Thank you also for coming back with an update, it's very much appreciated because not everyone does that.
