Hi everyone, I'm feeling a little bit better today
I really appreciate the kind words that people sent to me yesterday, it helped me a lot
@Ada don't be sorry for not coming on all the time, I do that too I think I think it's normal to do that, and yes you are missed but don't make that pressure you into coming on when you don't feel up to it
It looks like I'm the first one on this thread this morning for a change
I hope everyone has a good day and a nice 4 day week for those who are working2 -
Morning everyone, Sorry I wasn't on much yesterday ended up going cleveleys yesterday with my dad and nan and was so tired when I got back. It completley wore me out as not done much the past few weeks with being ill.@66Mustang Sorry to find out you were feeling low yesterday. I get really low moments sometimes too as its my dream to be able to work and live a normal life with a family one day and sometimes I feel like I am wasting my life away as I'm getting older now (33). Its just everytime I try make a positive step forward my health declines and I end up in hospital or unwell again. I've been stuck in the same cycle now for over 15 years and sometimes it drives me mad, especially when I see other people and old classmates be so successful and live life to the full on social media. Sometimes I feel like whats the point anymore, but each time I try stay positive and never let go of my dreams, I don't want to ever give up on myself and you shouldn't either. As others have said you are a really nice guy with alot to offer and we both need to find our way in this world and reach our potential even if it takes us longer to get there, we will get there eventually. Keep your chin up mate.4

Hi @rubin16
Thanks, it sounds like you can relate a lot, I think you probably have more struggles than me too because you have physical stuff to contend with as well so I think you are doing really well
I can totally agree about feeling like we are wasting life but I guess the best things are worth waiting and working for - if something is free (whether "free" means zero financial or indeed zero emotional investment) it's often not worth having in the first place ... I do think I'll get there in the end and I think you will too, just my opinion but you seem like such a nice person and really interesting and not at all malicious
One piece of advice I would give, if it helps you - people say don't compare with others which I agree with but it's hard sometimes - but putting that aside I would definitely say, if you ARE going to compare yourself, don't use social media as a benchmark because people often just post the best bits on social media!!
I would actually ask yourself ... if someone is REALLY living the dream, would they even have time to post random pictures on social media in the first place?? I used to know a very very interesting man who had lived all over the world, he had been wealthy, lost it again, then got it back, he was living (what some people may call) the dream ... he went on FaceBook maybe once a month!!! The opposite to that, people I know who use FaceBook for hours a day, actually have the most dreary lives if I am being really honest
Thanks for the words of encouragement though, I really appreciate them and just hope the little bit I can give back maybe will help you a little as well3 -
Morning @66Mustang glad your feeling brighter
@ada morning it's good to have you time sometimes
Glad you had a good time @rubin16
It's lovely and sunny here today3 -
Sorry to go on @rubin16 but one more thing I would say is "living life to the full" or "living the dream" is relative to an individual
I see lots of people who are doing stuff that floats their boat, like they have lots of money, they are really popular, find partners and friends easily and stuff
Now if they are happy with that then I am happy for them...but that's not what I want, I just want a couple of good friends and a partner who all like me (and I like them back) for genuine reasons, not because of money or good looks and stuff
So I am really happy for them as it floats their boat, but I have no reason to feel jealous if that makes sense??
We actually have some really lovely neighbours who rent the house next door - they are a couple, same age as me, and have some anxiety/mental health issues as well, and don't seem to have lots of money ... they have each other and are really happy though, and I'm probably more jealous of them than anyone else I know3 -
Morning all I hope yous have a great day.
I’m supposed to be going out a drive to a park with my friend so we can go a walk while there, but not sure if the weather will hold up for it.
