Very cold but not snow. But watching telly under the blanket. I hate winter and the Xmas season.. etc. but love the lights and the snow. But not afterwards very slippery.. also I don't like the getting dark so early. Anyway good evening. Keep warm.

@Amberpearl I am vegan I presume you use oat milk or soya milk etc? Porridge is good made with said milks it’s hot warms you and makes you stay fuller for longer cos it’s good in gi index!!! Yum yum!

Hi everyone! It's lovely to hear from you @Marydoll5 - sorry the progress is slow & plodding, but progress nonetheless. I find if I try to achieve at least one thing a day it makes me feel that bit better. I'm struggling a bit as part of my right hand became swollen on Friday; it's definitely improving, tho I'm still typing with my right ring finger & left hand!
Had a boiler service today & the man said he'd been wishing for snow. Well, we had a few sleet showers whilst he was here! He found out my boiler was 18 years old, so doing remarkably well, but it wasn't going to be worthwhile to replace some of the parts that weren't so good, & would be better to replace it before it possibly conks out. Hoping it lasts through this winter; will have to save like mad, & hopefully replace before next winter.
Hope everyone's keeping as well as can be, & also warm.

Hi @chiarieds sorry your hand is swollen, hope it's gets better swiftly, look into grants for boilers, on gov energy schemes. Might be worth looking into.

Hi @Sandy_123 - & thank you. Sadly there are no grants available for LPG boilers, just for those that have a mains gas supply. Was told a new boiler + fitting costs would possibly be £3 - £4k….yikes! I'd be lost without heating in the winter as the cold really affects my joints; something which many will identify with.

Oh that's a shame @chiarieds I hope you can get something sorted
