Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

LCWRA isn’t a benefit on its own. You didn’t answer my question, are you claiming Universal Credit?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thanks. A PIP award doesn’t automatically qualify you for LCWRA. For this you will need to report a change of circumstances and report your health condition. You will need to provide a fit note within 7 days of that and continue to provide them without any gaps until a decision is made on your work capability assessment.

You will be referred for this and then sent UC50 form to fill in and return.

If found to have LCWRA and you’re claiming carers element, the same person can’t receive both elements at the same time. You will receive the higher element, which is LCWRA.

Please also note, if you’re claiming UC with a partner that already receives this element on your claim then you won’t be able to receive this element. This is because it’s one element per claim.
