Hello everyone,
I am new here and have found everyones posts extremely helpfull so far so wanted to thank you all!
Also wanted to ask 2 questions regarding LCWRA
1/ how long after a health assessment has people had to wait for the decision on average?
I read online it can take between 4-6 weeks if I'm correct - just wondering if anyone has had thiers sooner in 2024?
2/ also has anyone been awarded lcwra for bipolar, anxiety depression and ocd?

1/ Up to 12 weeks after the report is returned is the timescale. Though some people have a decision a lot quicker than that. If this is for UC and you have access to a journal the decision letter will be uploaded onto there once it's made.
2/ It's not awarded based on any diagnosis and as we are all affected differently by those conditions, then it's not possible to compare 2 people. The good news is the stats say that the majority of people are found to have LCWRA.1 -
Thank you poppy! 😊
I thought as much..I am under u.c so that's handy as it will hopefully be alot faster than waiting for a letter!
That's quite a relief regarding the stats as I do struggle daily and haven't been able to work for a while.

Hi @Samantha89 and welcome to the community!
I can see Poppy has already leapt to your assistance, but I wanted to stop in and say hi.1 -
5 weeks 3 days after health assessment was awarded lcwra for my long list of mental health issues
Would advise anyone waiting to call u.c
They can push for the decision sooner and give a very valuable insight into where exactly you are in terms of waiting and if and how long it's been with d.m0 -
Glad you got your answer @Samantha89, thanks for updating us1
