Obviously picked her to crackdown on people!! We have to hold them to rights all of us flood them with emails not having years of same....... I'm sure charities unions will be fighting for us? I knew in my gut the morning wasn't happy I'm sure thier going ahead with workwell scheme get us all on UC so easier to contact they say you can start a job if doesn't work out go straight back to benefits tackle backlog of wca claims tighten criteria from 2025 get round to us 2026 maybe ? Reassessment under tighten criteria faze out wca pip only disabled benefits which will literally harder to get than already is these are my thoughts and reading between the lines hope understand I message from my mind

Just caught Rachel Reeves on gb news but it cut off before she said any more about making work pay yes Liz kendal is dwp minister unfortunately

^I don't think she'll go after PIP. Rachel Reeves is taking Jeremy Hunt's job and she did say if Labour get in, she'll leave PIP alone. We'll know more when parliament resumes.

I think pip will end up being the only disability benefit 2028 2029

The thing is not to panic yet, starmer may do a re shuffle. And also don't some of these things have to go through the house of Lords. Also if disability groups like scope etc get involved they may listen. Also they probably go after those who are able to work and choose not too first, plus they want to focus on young people.
Liz kendal on Facebook I've been scrolling through her page

all this is hurting my head I wish they would just leave us alone

I don't know why they brought in UC , benefits were ok as they are. They make things so difficult and treats us harshly and like criminals. Having mental health problems and physical health issues are hard enough to deal with, without all this worry and being tarnished by the tories and media as scroungers.

Whoever is making decisions for us, we just need to find ways of ensuring they are taking our feelings and experiences into consideration. The consultation is one possibility, emailing new MPs is another if you are lucky enough to have one (I'm not, mine probably has already had enough of my emails about the DWP, LOL, although he did help me with my PIP claim back in 2017 so he's not all bad). And just supporting organisations like SCOPE because for some reason govts like talking to charities and organisations, not individuals.

Honestly I feel sick to my stomach about moving over to UC from esa, I had to go to a tribunal to get my esa. Why are they rushing it, when it was planned for a few years from now. By the sound of it they are making you worse off to push you into work, even though you may not be physically or mentally capable of doing it. I am struggling physically and my mental health worse with all this worry. I'm 57 so will find it hard to find work with my disability a d my age is against me
