For those migrating from ESA their UC will only include the LCWRA element if they are in the Support Group for ESA. @Andi66 is not currently in the Support Group, they are in the WRAG. (based on information from another thread) their claim started after April 2017, which means if they are still in the WRAG when they migrated across their UC will include LCW but with no extra money for this element due to the date their ESA claim started.

The ESA being deducted from UC doesn't apply to those that are claiming Income Related ESA. It only applies to those claiming either New style or contributions based ESA. For those claiming Income Related ESA once a claim for UC is submitted their ESA will continue for 2 weeks and then stop completely.

That's not correct if someone's ESA is all Income Related. It only applies for someone claiming either New style ESA or contributions based ESA. Please be careful with the advice you give because it's misleading in some cases.

Andi66 why don't you go onto lwcra ?

That's ok, I sent my esa review form back in January, my conditions have got worse so I'm still waiting to hear from them and to see if I be moved into a different group. It's frustrating especially if we are having to move to UC so soon.

You can't just go onto this. For ESA it's Support Group and you need to meet the criteria for this first.
No problem. There's actually 3 types of ESA's, not 2. New style ESA, which is a contributions based only benefit and can't include the Income Related top up and is what you're claiming. Then the old contributions based, which can include the Income Related top up and also Income Related.

It's good you put in for it hopefully here soon generally I found esa no problems ever touch wood sad there be scrapping it

I want to add that I first saw a DEA in 2008 when claiming disability-related Income Support. These are not new positions within job centres.

I’ll apologise in advance as I didn’t read all the link asummerLove posted, but this was a quote from John Redwoods reply “strongly support the initiative to help more people who are long-term sick and disabled into work where they wish to do that”
I have no faith in Liz Kendall and us disabled I’m just hoping for a miracle, they need to go after the people who refuse to workm

Will unions stick up for us before election was a lady ellen clifford taking DWP to judicial court for changes of WCA wonder if that will still go ahead if labour does same thing I'm 100 percent they will go ahead with workwell scheme All talk of nhs prisons no talk of disabled at this rate be better off in prison 3 meals roof over head I'm so scared of losing house
