I have been recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my right hip,as I'm a chef I can no longer carry out the usual tasks,I have to wait 3 years for a hip replacement and I'm in constant pain,pain killers or anti inflammatories don't seem to touch me,is there any injection I can get for relief and also am I eligible to be signed off from work permanently

Hi @james1000 welcome to the forum. Sorry about your hip and 3 years is a long wait.
Are you putting sick notes into work? This will prompt a oc health referral by your HR they will assess you and see if any adaptions could help you if none are suitable, then that will start you either being signed off or a different role. Depending how your hip effects you you could look into claiming pip benefit. You can still work with this benefit.1 -

Looks like Sandy has already offered some good advice for thinking about your working situation. Have you spoken to your doctor about whether there are any more pain relief options you could try?
