Spoke to the mental health worker at the surgery and she has put my mind at ease.

I filled in my pip form and added extra information. I've tried to say as much as I can . It's been sent off and they Have received it . Had a text from them saying they have received it . Fingers crossed time now.

I know there is a wait on the reviews on PIP and I know this sounds really stupid of me but I've been having a gut feeling that it's going to get turned down. My only explanation is I don't think I've wrote very well on the form . I didn't want to leave it hanging around. I wanted to get it out of the way . They do have a doctors name to contact . It's just this gut feeling of mine is telling me it's not looking good.

In August I am having an assessment for autism and adhd. I don't know if these class as being viable for pip or not . I've heard on the grapevine that it's very difficult to get pip for autism and adhd . At the end of the day I will accept whatever the outcome. Part of me didn't really want to apply again this time anyway. Only time will tell.

Many people claim PIP and have ASD and ADHD. Although it’s not awarded based on any diagnosis.
My daughter was awarded Enhanced for both parts without a diagnosis. Once she was diagnosed with ASD, learning disability and social anxiety, that didn’t change her award.

I claim PIP and am diagnosed ASD, but awaiting my ADHD assessment and I claim PIP. Awarded it before my diagnosis as well. As Poppy has said, it's more about how the conditions affect you day to day and less about actual diagnosis. 🙂
