This is the message I've received today after checking my account and the deposit wasn't there. Can someone explain to me if I will get the awarded amount or not and when?
Hi Vanesa, Apologies I had made an error in determining your LCWRA element. I have taken a look at your claim in regard to the extra premium for having Limited capability for work and work related activity (LCWRA) and can advise of the following: The decision to award LCWRA was made on 25/01/2024 this falls into the Universal credit assessment period 08/01/2024 – 07/02/2024 (this assessment period is disregarded). Everyone who is found to have LCWRA must serve 3 assessment periods before the extra premium is paid (this is called the waiting period) In your case the 3 assessments periods would be. 08/02/2024 – 07/03/2024 08/03/2024 – 07/04/2024 08/04/2024 – 07/05/2024 This means that from the statement 08/05/2024 – 07/06/2024 you will start to see the additional premium being paid (next month’s statement). I hope this helps to explain how the system works. Kind regards UC team
