Hello everybody hope you are good.i have recently made an application for a change of circumstances. I have arthritis in my hips and knee and back.i am in receipt of enhanced mobility. However I have just received a letter saying I have a telephone assessment on 30th July.i have been to 5 tribunals since 2012.i am very tired of repeating my condition.to them as a result of that I suffer from depression. Can I cancel the change of circumstances request as I can't face an hour and a half of the same questions again.thankyou.

Hi @mariama28, welcome to the community 😊 I know the PIP assessments are very straining, and so it the hoop jumping to get through tribunal. I believe however once PIP has accepted a change of circumstances form and deemed there to be a need to re-assess it then must happen. I may be wrong, but I've never heard of someone being able to cancel a change of circumstance they have initiated.

Do you have anyone who can support you through it, be there with you when you go through the assessment, help you prepare?

Jimm is correct once you report changes to your health condition you can’t cancel that now. Most people have assessments so when you reported changes the chances of another assessment are always quite high.

Hi thankyou for your reply .I just get the impression that atos from my past experience are there to try and take from you with their very biased assessments. I hope this is the last one I have to endure as I am 58 now and very nervous when I have to communicate with them .thankyou for the advice.
