Heya @Gat welcome back to the community. I hope you're keeping well?

Nice to meet another drummer too, though I've not played in many years!

Thank you. I don't play often enough, partly due to self diagnosed arthritis in my fingers, and the fact my drumkit is stored in the Church office, so I don't really have access to it. The space in my bedroom was taken up by dj decks on a table, but I gave up on that so its mostly just a pile of dust on a table atm lol

Ah I can literally feel your pain there with the fingers. Have you tried out an electric kit and maybe get rid of the dusty table? I found taping my fingers helped to some degree.

Well its a DJ desk which cost over £100. I bought it to house my decks and speakers. I took up DJ streaming over lockdown, out of inspiration from friends, and gave up soon after, as nobody was tuning in, it was just too stressful to set everything up. I had lights, 2 cameras and a green screen.

Its there along with the 10s of other things gathering dust, which I can't seem to find the time (or desire) to sort out. I try to stay out of the house as much as possible to avoid any conflict with my parents.

Its not that I have pain in my fingers, but they ache. I had this before 2014 so its been a while now. Can't hold sticks properly. I was using drum tape, but it run out and I don't drum enough anyway

Oh blimey, ok maybe keep the table! I used to love DJing, but the people became too much, it was great fun though. It does take a long time to start getting those numbers up though, you'll often have months of playing to yourself.

I've just seen your other post, so will reply over there shortly. 😊

I am not sure it would be worth anything anyway. I also bought a secretlab chair as when I was doing the streaming, I had a lot of pain due to 2 slipped disks in my back and pain in my legs, so it helped to sit down. a £300 expense and I rarely use it anymore. Sometimes spending cheers me up, until I am just left with a pile I don't use anymore lol

Sorry to hear about the slipped disks, that's not fun at all.
I totally get the spending dopamine need. My Warhammer "pile of shame" is just looked at me, collecting dust. 😆

I spend more time in my Secretlab chair than I do standing up these days. Just see it as an investment that you occasionally use.
