How on earth will this work.

Hi.

So here's the situation how does someone who has autism and only socialises with a select few people, doesn't have anyone in the home and doesn't speak on the phone make a claim?

There is also no ID and absolutely no way of going to an unfamiliar place or speaking to an unfamiliar person without major risk to the claimant or possibly others.

A change to routine or threat of pressure would also cause a risk.

Is it possible that the official appointee can get around issues with ID and claimant commitments so the claim can go ahead and like ESA support the claimant will be left alone?

If you have an appointee then that will be their responsibility to sort out your claim, not yours.

As you're in the Support Group for ESA then when you claim UC you'll be entitled to the LCWRA element from the start of your claim. You will not need to attend any appointments because you have an appointee.

That's great, thought I'd have to just not make a claim and struggle.

    Thanks very much
