PIP VOUCHERS
While I definitely know not everything can be trusted on X, I’m seeing a lot of people saying today that Labour are going ahead with pip vouchers, can anyone in the know confirm this?

To the best of my knowledge it will take weeks to read consultation responses and then there is a very long and slow process which would take years.
A lot of media is currently falsely scaremongering avoid articles from the ones that ejd with "live" "chronicle" etc as they will recycle nonsense on a loop which isn't fact.

As Nightcity has rightly said, there's no plans at all at the moment, as the green paper has only just closed. So anything you read on line @LIVEDANDLEARNED is pure speculation, they just want the clicks for their sites, so please try not to worry too much.
Scope are also in talks with the government to push back against any potentially negative changes to PIP and make any changes more inclusive for the community.

Yes, you’re right that’s how the media are saying it. Please Scope do everything you can to stop them doing vouchers, that just wouldn’t work with my condition as it changes everyday and vouchers wouldn’t fit that scenario.

I don't think they'll go ahead with vouchers, as disabled people use PIP to assess their own needs and buy things to help them manage their disability. People with PIP also use it to cover basic living cost, such as gas, rent and food.
I think Labour will realise that getting rid of cash payments will cause disabled people to end up in poverty and cause worsening physical and mental health.
The green paper has just closed and it'll take months to go through the feedback.
Don't hoard your PIP and don't be afraid to spend it, if there is something you need to make things comfortable for you.
