LCWRA confusion.
Hi everyone,
I know you must get this question a lot, but here goes my attempt.
I've been receiving disability benefits in one form or another for the better part of ten years. My condition got worse a couple of years ago and u was reassessed to get me moved from the WRAG group to the LCWRA group. My assessment was last week and it was confirmed today that I've been moved.
It says the extra money is due 3 months after my last fit note or evidence of illness, but I've not had to send in fit notes for many years now. Can anyone tell me when my payments will start? Or if my lack of fit notes is going to be a problem,
Thanks for your help.

Good afternoon @GabbiCat. Did you inform UC of your worsening condition to prompt the reassessment?
At worst, I believe your payments should start from the date of decision which means the LCWRA may be included from your next payment.

Hi @Adrian_Scope, thank you for replying so quickly!
I due for my regular assessment and was moved on the basis of my answers to that. I should really have asked for reassessment myself much sooner, but I just haven't been able to manage it given my horrible experiences with the DWP in the past. I just couldn't handle the anxiety, so I just waited until they pushed for a reassessment themselves.

Hi @GabbiCat, that's understandable and lots of people feel that way and do the same thing. I'm pleased you're now in the correct group anway. Your first payment of LCWRA should be in your next assessment period.
