Hi @wiltshire386, I'm afraid this isn't something I'm too familiar with but I hope some of our members might have been through similar things and can offer their thoughts. Just wanted to pop in to say hello and bump your post up a little.

If you're stuck on what to do, you could perhaps try looking for a local adviser who might be able to help clear things up for you. There's a directory on Advicelocal that might be useful to you.

Hope you can get something sorted soon 😊

This does sound like an unusual situation. Generally it's the person who needs care that gets an extra bedroom for a carer. I'm not sure I've heard of a carer getting an extra bedroom to care for someone.

Though if they're offering you 2 bed flats, they must have accepted the need for a second bedroom. Personally I'm not allowed to bid on 2 bed properties. Unfortunately council & HA property rules are area specific, they're not the same across the country, so you will need to get some local advice as suggested above.

I gave you advice on this back in March.

As I advised in your other thread, it will depend on the rules of your local Authority. There's age limits to bungalows if you're a single person living with someone else who isn't your partner. It sounds like this is the issue you have here. Not sure what you can do in this situation.

I'm also assuming that you also have health conditions, which is the reason for wanting the bungalow.

Would they allow you to bid on 2 bedroom flats? if so you can try bidding on ground floor flats.
