Wheelchair, accessible, local meetups
Hey there, im new to this group. I was wondering if anyone knows of any local groups or ways I can find to meet up with other wheelchair users. I'm new to wheelchair life and was hoping to make some new mates who have similar life experiences and even tips to share. Would be great to see more people like myself as I feel quite isolated at the moment. I'm based in Wiltshire. TIA

@Leo_A575 Hi, if you’re registered with a GP, please ask to speak to your social prescriber at the surgery about local activities that are accessible.
They have a wealth of knowledge about who and what is in your local area and they are there to help you access groups etc. I hope that helps with your question 💚

Hey there @Leo_A575 and welcome to the community.
Sorry to hear you're feeling isolated right now, we're all here for chats and support if you need us. 😊As Older01 has said, the GPs surgery may have some contacts for you, or checking local FB groups or asking the council can often come up with some good groups.

I'm in the Newcastle area and open to this if anyone else is interested.
