Pip horror story - Going to Upper Tribunal
It seems that everyone is having the same problem with pip as me. They wrote things that I didn’t say in their report. The tribunal said because my son went to mainstream school, could drive and had 2 temporary jobs in 6 years and gained qualifications he has made sufficient progress therefore he is not eligible. The worst bit was the tribunal said that his difficulties were due to “laziness and indolence playing due to a lifestyle choice”. Just done an appeal to the upper tribunal so after 10 months I’m still waiting!!!

Hi @supportingmyson, I'm so sorry that you've had this experience and hope the upper tribunal brings better news. It's really awful to read what they write and I hope your son is coping ok. I'm amazed at that comment they made, how rude! Does your son have some support in place?

Thank you for your kind words. I’m his only support.

Do you feel you or your son would benefit from extra support, such as having a care needs assessment? We can help point you in the right direction to find things that could help.

Yes please. Not sure he would be willing to engage as he is very reclusive. He is 24 years old so I assumed he would be too old.

Do you have anymore information about the care needs assessment?
