I'm scared too, my friend who helps me has just lost her mum so I can't ask her to help. I have had such problems with Capita in the past where they have lied with pip and esa that I had to go to a tribunal with esa where they messed up.

Migrating from ESA to UC should now be more straight forward than it was previously because they will automatically know which group you are in when you claim because they have now updated the system so that it detects this. Previously, they hadn't done this so it was causes so many people to become even more stressed. You should no longer be asked to provide any fit notes now.
When you do receive your letter you can post here and someone will advise you on the process.

The Lords committee's recommendations to Liz Kendall should be read. It is a very long letter.
The Lords believe disabled claimants should not receive more financial support than an unemployed person does. They believe these additions incentivise claimants to stay unwell and are keeping them away from the workplace..

absolutely crazy and out of reality.
people can't and don't work because they are ill and just want to be left alone, i my experience of many claimants I've known online and oft the majority would rather throw in their claim because they are NOT obsessed with money.
and how can money encourage someone to be ill I don't think cancer, autism, renal failure,MND,MS etc etc can go away just because you get less money.
someone with more influence needs to shut these dangerous "****s up

My cerebral palsy won't go away because I have less money! I agree. Since this has come from the Lords, this feels like a betrayal. There were many members of the Lords who were sympathetic to people on PIP.

I know, I'm rather surprised and annoyed myself.
thankfully I doubt this will go further, putting people such as yourself on a pittance during a cost of living crisis won't be easy to sell to many.
luckily the sort you would see on the daily mail comments section and hiding behind a keyboard anonymously on twitter etc aren't typical in my experience.
I live in a town which has until this last election always been conservative, I've lived here all my life and I've literally only ever met 3 people like them.

Do you think thier push this through

I don't think so. It was suggested by the head of the committee. The head of the committee is a Tory. don't think everyone in the Lords will share his views.

overall MOST the lords are actually compassionate.
