DWP programme that automatically approves landlord benefit deduction requests ruled unlawful.
I knew it!!! They did this to me despite having a court order in place allowing me to pay only minimal arrears until my housing costs were reinstated. Those payments plus my ongoing rent were reliably made through a monthly standing order.
UC and my council (local government) and my Housing Association were all in cahoots to arrange the deduction request after repeated attempts to evict me because of their failures to award the correct amount of Housing Benefit from Day 1 of my tenancy or credit my rent account on receipt of HB. Dirty rotten scoundrels!
