Hi,

I'm waiting help with a petition mevabd my friends are running. It's ti try abd save a charity called Revitalise that provide respite breaks for those with chronic illness and disability withall care needs including those that are complex and their carers. They have a centre in Chigwell Essex called Jubilee Lodge and they have Sandpipers in Southport where I go. On the 7th of October they announced the devastating news thar they plan to close the charity and centres on 25 November. We decided we cannot let this happen so we've all come together. We have MP's helping us and we have reached out to many people, but as of yet we have no solution to save this much needed charity.

I'd ve really grateful for anyone that could sign our petition which is to highlight the need for the service.

The closure is due to many factors, but the prominent one is being financial. Funding cuts and the rising cots of things have now put the charity in a position where it can no longer operate. We need to try our best to save it.

So many places are risking closures recently, I'm sorry to hear your charity is one of those affected. hi I also go to Revitalise for respite breaks so that that I got to go out and about to lots of different places different places that otherwise I wouldn’t have got to do and meet other people in a similar situation end of a similar age. Whenever I went to Revitalise, I was made to feel like any other individual and almost forgot about my disability was able to do all the things that any other person my age would be able to do giving me independence.. Also these trips are vital to my mental health as I often feel very lonely and isolated at home. As well as being a vital break for me,it also gave my family and main carer a break.. Revitalise is more than just a respite break we had evening entertainment we did art and crafts, we got to go out we had 24 hour care and also professional nurses on site so we always knew we were safe hands. This is a service that many individuals simply cannot survive without.. I tried contacting my MP but never heard anything back.
