hi I receive limited capability to work and work related activities benefit. I am considering selling my present house for something smaller and more assessable for my needs moving forward I want to gift any money left to my daughter who recently married to help them. Can I do this and Will this affect my benefit? Any advice would help thank you. Angela

LCWRA is part of UC, which is a means tested benefit. Once you sell your home and buy another, if you have more than £16,000 is capital your UC will end. You can give your daughter some money but this will be treated as deprivation of capital and you'll still be treated as having that money and your UC will still end.
