Just an update for the benefit of others who are going through similar circumstances, and to say thank you for all the advice so far, hopefully now things are sorted.

My husband just had the ‘commitment’ phone call due to being transferred (migrated?) to New Style ESA from his contribution based ESA. As advised from the kind folks here, it was nothing to worry about, although to my husband it was everything to worry about. The call lasted less than 2 minutes, the Job centre guy was really pleasant and said it was just a formality as my husband is in the ESA Support Group and the ‘interview’ was law. That was it! I think the DWP could be far more forthcoming and explain things better, just like the help we have had here, that would reduce the anticipation and stress running through people’s minds, but I guess this is by design.

Thanks so much for the help off members here, and whilst you kind bunch may not realise it, the advice really, REALLY! helped myself to then help and calm my husband, means a lot. Thank you all! ❤️🙏
