Will DWP remove LCWRA if I move home?

I have a quick question and have been looking for the answer for a while with no luck until I found this scope site, so here goes.

I am on UC in the LCWRA group due to disabilities. That is all fine and a big help but I am planning on moving home soon and someone said to me that if I move home it counts as a change off circumstances. And that the DWP will then stop my LCWRA and force me into work.

Does anyone know if this is true or not. It sounds ridiculous that that may happen.

    Not true.

All you need to do is update UC with your new address, and rent amount (if applicable) after you move.

    Your LCWRA is unaffected.

Hey @Rich83, welcome to the community 😊 Hope we can help here!

It certainly can be worrying, the thought that your LCWRA may be taken away. I think the person who told you that was maybe a little confused about what encompasses 'change of circumstances. Moving address, changing phone number, change in how your conditions affect you are all 'change of circumstances', there are more than just those three of course. However, only the 'change in how your conditions affect you' would directly result in a review and possible reassessment of your LCWRA.

There are other change in circumstances that can sometimes result in a review and possible reassessment, such as starting employment, but only if the work you are carrying contradicts the reasons that you were granted LCWRA.
