Andi66 'They' obviously know the ramifications of ignoring what was found in the fact finding. All of us that fall within this group can clearly identify with what is says. Its absolutely devastating that basically the cold facts are it's been kept quiet in order to save money but glamourorised to look like it is helping.I think a minute percentage if any at all could be helped from this and if this forum is anything to go by its already caused more pain and stress. They keep back tracking to the conservatives actions, wordings etc but it is them who plan on taking it to bill.Surely something can be done now or more lives will be lost.

Just to hop into this I migrated over in November , got three letters and then a text saying they were going to call (which they did) about claiming UC so I wouldn’t worry about missing the letters @Catherine21 i was so worried about it but it really was fine in the end no horror stories here gratefully but can empathise with being scared of the postman I still do it now lol x

I know there are a huge amounts of comments on this post and rightly so but could we make an addition to any MP template letters regarding overpayments when a new benefit coming in for which we do not benefit from financially - for example claiming Carers allowance - I now owe them over £400 which was not my fault and also suspecting another overpayment when my husbands ESA starts , both of which have no financial gain and both that causes so much distress having to call debt management and arrange a payment plan .It’s not right !

Yes, I agree.
I'm proud to know we have people like Ellen on our side who are ready to dig in their heels and take legal action against any dangerous, reckless or unjust actions from the government/DWP, it shows the government that we won't simply be pushed around or have our rights abused. We have the law and our human rights on our side.In the upcoming consultation that labour will soon be announcing we've all gotta make our voices loudly and firmly heard when we fill in our responses to the consultation.
I have optimism that together we can successfully fight against any potentially dangerous future reforms, we've just gotta stay strong and keep on.

I think for me that this has been hope but I realise it is been seen as otherwise. That's fine so I will find other avenues of hope not off ebay but stay true to myself and others

Can they be taken back to court again if it's still deemed unlawful I knew they was waiting on this outcome they are so defiant was disheartening when i read they don't have to act on the case today

Hi all,
With nearly 30 pages of discussion, it's understandable that this thread has become somewhat off-topic and includes outdated information, speculation, and some misinformation.
Alongside this, there is the news announced yesterday that the WCA consultation has been ruled unlawful (🎉🙌).
With all of this in mind we have made the decision to close this discussion and move to a new "WCA consultation ruled unlawful - White paper, part 2" discussion and hope you'll all continue sharing your thoughts there.
Thank you for your understanding.
