@Nightcity him saying those who can and want to work is him giving a typical political answer.Suzanna Reed saw right through him fortunately.The government don't see that out of the £3 Billion cuts they will make in Benefits cuts the percentage in disabled people who can and want to work will be high surely?.Or they would have stepped forward.It will.be interesting actually if anyone on here who us disabled and would like to get back into work has an opinion on this?

@Jane315STARX I missed the programme. How are changes to PIP going to hit the physically disabled rather than mentally disabled? Thanks.

He didn't say it was very brief.Although all the reading I've done lately I caught something yesterday on the Internet.They ( Government) have thought of everything into incorporating how people with physical and some mental health disabilities can work from home.So it opens up opportunities for them even if they say have incontinence or agoraphobia or are a carer and are based at home.I think they consulted a broad range of people to discuss the impact of how their disabilities hinder them from working and have used data they already have which will enable them to now implement them to employ 80% ( this is what they are saying)

People said this about them releasing prisoners early and the winter fuel payments despise heavy opposition.I don't think it matters on seats as they are the Government

They were able to change the winter fuel payment criteria so quickly because it was a perk given by the government.
Welfare benefits are an entirely different matter, they are matters of law, that's why it takes so long to make any changes because the legislative process is a lengthy one.

The 80% employment goal to which they refer is 80% of the working age population not 80% of disabled people.

@Kimmy87 I thought it could be as little as two weeks as long as the Majority of ministers were in agreement for the bill to be passed?
