Lcwra payments
hi I have had lcw since October 2021, finally had a review and have been awarded lcwra today
Work coach said something about back pay but didn’t go into detail even though I asked
Would my first payment be March, assessment dates are the 4th -3rd,or as it was a review would I get payment sooner

If this was a review started by UC the extra money is paid from the assessment period in which the decision was made. This would mean your first payment will be 10th December. No money is owed.
If you reported changes to your health condition and provided fit notes the extra money is paid from the assessment period in which you reported the changes.
Either way, the waiting period doesn’t apply when you already have LCW.

but if an update
My work coach called me today about what happens next and he said that they have awarded me lcwra from the end of may so I should get that payment soon
He said that I’ve been awarded lcwra for 18 months, is this a normal thing because I’ve read that it’s ongoing

LCWRA is an ongoing award and has no end date. The timescale they’ve given is when they expect your next review to be but even that’s just a guide.

thank you for your reply, going through so much atm and everything seems to be merging into one, trying to get clarity on somethings is like trying to look through muddy water
