Background: In Focus is a collaborative photographic documentary with the aim to raise awareness and promote empathy towards the blind community by documenting the practice of visually impaired artists for my final year BA (Hons) Photography project. My intentions are to provide an authentic and insightful perspective of real-world triumphs and struggles throughout the stages of conducting interviews, showcasing daily life, and the thought process behind creating the artistic projects.

How can you help? I am seeking one visually impaired individual to participate in my documentary that will most likely last two months. I plan on visiting my subject once every two weeks to update my documentary (up to four visits that will last half a day for production). Preferably, I would like to stay as close to High Wycombe as possible for filming to reduce the cost of the project but happy to travel up to one hour to the subject.

What's in it for you? I am crowdfunding the project online to fund the majority of travel expenses, equipment hire, specialist prints and a cash reward for my participant (up to 30% of crowdfund). Should travel be relevant to elements of the project, this will be covered by myself.

Interested? Interest can be expressed via email – benmontgomeryphotography@outlook.com or by text at 07563883062. The call for interest will be open until December 15th where I will then take interest and narrow it down to one person based solely on location and proximity for shooting. Shooting dates are expected to start from the last week of January onwards.
