The White paper
@pooleemily29 hey! Folks. I'm going to talking about this white paper I've just skimmed throughin my personal view they're putting too much focus on the NHS and nog enough on disabled people this make work pay scheme labour have cooked up I really did sir Keir when he said " we will change Britain" just last week I read somewhere that he took 20mil pr donation for his son to study! How stupid can be? The prime minister of this country taking donations for his son study I'm being funny that money could be used elsewhere like put back into public services i.e the police.
Right they say employment is low especially for young people well I'm telling you this how can young people well yeah because either they have a busy life at home or they've got to look other family members. I'm not making excusesfor them of course. When I read labours manifesto sir Keir promised in his document whatsit he had that he would make work pay.
However! People like me who are chronically unwell and are not capable of working due to our health conditions he wants to get into work I'm one of them that would rather earn my money then be on benefits however I have choice due to my health issues Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy and hydrocephalus, now I'm not been funny if they can't see their serious health conditions then I'm sorry but they blind as well as daft.
Have they once stopped to think about disabled people in all of this I don't think they have! They cannot make or force people like me or you into work knowingly if it listed on your benefits that you get ESA or whatever is that you known serious health issues then they Cannnot touch you.
Thank you for listening love you all @pooleemily29 🙂❤️❤️❤️

Heya @pooleemily29 thanks for sharing your thoughts. We've all been discussing it over on this discussion if you wanted to join in?
But just to add, the new government have had several meetings with Scope regarding the Get Britain Working plans, so they are actively listening to disabled people.

@Albus_Scope of course I understand that! What i meant was in the socialising aspect of it 😳 I myself find it particularly hard to socialise with anyone my age now that I'm 30 and I'm considering going to www.ablehere.co.uk for some more support from people like me.

Someone needs to be blamed for an under performing economy.
They cant blame Brexit because its unfashionable.
They cant blame lack of immigration because its unfashionable. (Notice this problem of certian employers struggling to find workers started when we opted out of EU free movement, we created the problem ourselves).
They cant blame the uncompetitive energy prices in the UK which is preventing companies from setting up here, because that would be an admittance its the government's fault.
Much easier to blame the sick and disabled, they like that cuddly toy you can keep prodding but it never bites you back.
On your socialising point though, I feel there needs to be group session type services offered, but whenever I was given access to mental health care treatment, it was extremely short term, kind of like a trial where the NHS paid for about 10 one on ones, and if I wanted to keep going then it shifted to private, was no group sessions, meeting like minded people sort of thing.0
