ok will try and ask without sounding to complicated lol

I put a claim in for pip and was rewarded 0 points so I asked for a mandatory reconsideration on the 23rd oct..

Since then iv been ringing the number to go through to option 6 to see if it gives me a payment date (wishful thinking) every time I’ve rung I get asked security questions which I answer, and it just puts me in a que… when it asks me about what benefits iv received since a certain date I always reply with universal credit which she reply’s back to me what iv said I’ll say yes and it just plays music and says we’re know your waiting..

Anyway today iv done this and gone to the security question and asks about benefits but when I’m saying universal credit she’s replying back with personal independence payments is this correct I say no I say it as clearly as I can and she’s still saying personal independence payments…

Has anyone else had this please

    Hello @daisey84.

I can't say this is something I've heard or experienced before. It could be that your PIP MR was successful but we would only be speculating. Have you managed to get through to speak to a person about your claim? Hopefully you will receive the outcome to your MR soon.

I thought when you put in a M.R for pip ( which is what I've also done, good luck by the way X).They send us A reconsideration Notice letter once they've made their decision ( normally 2 copies I think).

When did they say the decision was made?

If the decision was made more then 2days ago from what I have gathered from my own experience and from reading some of the chats in the forum. If a decision had been made and you were awarded pip, the system would have updated within 24-48hours & when you call up the pip line it would usually tell you when your next/first payment date is (if you had been awarded).

I have seen that some people have called and asked for there decision and havnt been told when it is bad news, however if you are awarded they advice you of the decision and then advise for you to look out for the decision letter where it will explain any back date etc…

she said a decision was made in the 7/01 she sounded like she was eating something and nearly choking so maybe just said she couldn’t tell me just to get off the phone and sort herself out I’ll try again tomorrow

I think it's very unfair of them to say a decision was made but then not to tell you what it was.

yes I thought that to I might try again and see if I speak to someone else’s if they will tell me unless the decision been made but haven’t sent a letter yet

If she said a decision was made then a letter would have also been sent too anyway regardless.I have been doing so much reading about all if this

They won't always tell you what that decision was.

@Jane315STARX whilst you may think @poppy123456 is the “expert”. (Neither of us are currently working for DWP decision making)

We are all here to offer our advice & own personal experiences to help the next person. It is not a competition & there is no wrong or right answer. As each individual case is different - Hence why I said from my personal experience and from reading other people’s chats in the forum. I have noticed a pattern with the decision making process & that has been that when you call up they usually inform you when you have been awarded & when you haven't they advise for you to wait for the letter, also the day the decision is made an automatic text is usually generated which you would usually receive the following morning at around 8am (within that hour). @daisey84 have you received this message yet ?
Also another pattern I noticed is once the decision is made, within 48hours your payments are generated onto the system so when you call up it is not about what option you pick to hear your payments, you are usually asked your security questions and before you are put through to an actual operator, the automated line information you of your first/next payment date (If you have been awarded).

Again - this is just MY observations from my experience and from months of reading through chats when I was on my pip journey.

I hope this helps you @daisey84 & I do hope that your decision is a positive one🤞🏾please do let us know how you get on x
