Neuropathy Consultant continues to refute any link to toxicity

I was given 1000mg Lithium Carbonate for 32 years during which time my body underwent toxicity more than a dozen times. My peripheral neuropathy began not long after Lithium was stopped and my psychiatrist said there was no more to be done for me. My neuropathy consultant is confident there is no possible way high dosage, long term use of Lithium and it's toxicity could cause nerve damage. Does anyone have any input on this please.

Thanks it seems the link is so remote as to be negligent.
