Voice: Sharing Stories Through Poetry: Exploring Creative Research with Disabled People
Newcastle University is exploring how poetry can be used as a creative way to share experiences and perspectives in healthcare research for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Participants will learn about how poetry can be used in research, take part in a simple poetry activity to share their experiences and ideas and discuss whether using poetry is engaging, useful, and accessible. No previous experience with poetry is needed—just an interest to try something new!
The session will be over teams in a workshop format but accommodations can be made to suit a variety of accessibility needs. Everyone will receive a £25 voucher for sharing their insights.
