Jean Martin Championing cycling as a lifelong mobility aid
The CP Network's very own Jean Martin has been named one of the 100 Women in Cycling 2024
Jean has been involved with Scope since its creation and has been cycling for almost as long!
Jean has been cycling for nearly seven decades, starting with a tricycle chosen for her as a child with cerebral palsy to develop her strength, conditioning and mobility. Today, she relies on her e-assist trike for everything from health appointments to shopping, reducing car use and staying connected to her community.
Jean champions cycling as a mobility aid and a means of independence, sharing her experiences to inspire others. Despite challenges like inaccessible routes, Jean’s determination and advocacy highlight the transformative power of cycling for disabled individuals and beyond.
We're immensely proud of Jean and her achievements. Happy cycling!
