Help me with PIP
Hello,
So I finally got PIP, called them to ask what I was awarded and they have told me that I only standard mobility and nothing for daily living. I asked how they can say it doesn't effect me daily and the lady on the phone said the report is coming and I appeal it.
I don't understand how they don't think my fibromyalgia affects me daily? I told the assessor that I lost my job because of it. My partner prompts me for medication, food, dressing, washing. He picks up my medication. Helps take the children to school and does almost everything within the house on top of working.
I even told them that the fatigue is making me sleep between 2-4 hours a day since I lost my job and before that I was struggling to stay awake at work!
I'm honestly baffled. I did record the phone assessment so I have it ready to submit if I need too but I don't know what to do or say? Where can I go from here?
Thank you!

It is possible to have any award of PIP and there are some people who just have the mobility award.
Your next step will be to request the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You should put this request in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. Please do not ring them to request it.
When you filled out the form if you didn’t give a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you, then you should do that now.
You should also include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
My advice is not to concentrate wholly on the recording or the assessment report if you have it. It’s fine to mention a couple of obvious errors or contradictions but then put it to one side and forget about it.
Most MR decisions remain the same, if this happens you can proceed to Tribunal.
