I have just got awarded limited capacity and should get about 6 month backdated can the dwp keep this money if I owe for loans and stuff or do they only take a percentage of the money ? Thanku

For extra money the decision needs to be Limited Capability For work Related Activity. (LCWRA) If it's just Limited Capability for work. (LCW) there's no extra money.
If you owe money to them then yes they can take what you owe them from the money they owe you.
If the decision is LCWRA please be aware that there's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. The extra money is then paid from the 4th month after you provided your first fit note, it's then paid at the end of that 4th month. LCWRA element isn't paid at all during the waiting period.
