Won PIP at tribunal and DWP refusing, saying I shouldn't get PIP
Hello
I have won pip at the tribunal
Dwp have been adamant that I don't get it
Giving me zero points twice
At the first pip them the mandatory but I won at the tribunal
The day before the tribunal the dwp wrote to me still saying I shouldn't get pip
I am now worried they will stop my back payment and apeal against the decision
The tribunal had all my medical evidence and awarded me the enhanced rate on daily living and mobility
I don't know if I will get it now
Any advice please

Hi there unfortunately I can't give advice on the benefits system. However what I can do is welcome you to the forum and recommend the coffee lounge for a good chat and the games den for some fun

DWP can’t just appeal the decision because they think it’s wrong. First they need to request the Statement of reasons and record of proceedings within 1 month of the date of decision.
Once they receive those they need to find the error in law before they can proceed any further.
They sometimes request them but rarely appeal. If they request them it doesn’t mean they will appeal.
After a Tribunal win it can take up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer to put the award into payment and pay what is owed.
As Christmas and New year are almost here, it will be early next year when you’ll receive what is owed.
