Hi, my name is Frankie17! Asked to stay over and support a friend, who is old and ill.
Hello everyone, just a quick question, I have been asked to stay over (Sleep over) a friend's who is old and ill. This is for general support, advice on eating/ and for any emergencies during the night, also taking him to appointments in his car. He receives a care package and would be willing to pay me out of it. I get the lower rate care and full mobility on pip. Is this likely to affect my pip. It would possibly take me off universal credit but unsure whether he is allowed to pay me out of his care package money. Or whether I am allowed to perform these duties on pip. Thanks for any advice. Sorry for the ramblings.

Hi @Frankie17 and welcome! 🙂
Is this arrangement short term or looking to be more permanent?
I hope you don't mind but I've put a bit more of your detail in the post title. It just helps members who might be able to offer some useful input find it easily. I hope that's ok.
Best wishes,
Holly.

Hi Holly, would see it as temporary for now. I was a personal trainer before so would mainly help with diet and exercise to get him strong enough to cope more himself. So would probably put it down as self employed. Still struggling with the idea of personal training online to try make a living as I hate doing nothing.
RRegards
